Joseph David Puetz

of St. Cloud - Joseph David Puetz, age 58, of St. Cloud, passed away with his family at his side on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.

He was born February 16, 1963, in Chilton to Judith (Thielmann) Puetz and the late Jeanold Puetz. Joe graduated from New Holstein High School in 1981.

On July 2, 1982, he married his high school sweet-heart, Traci Goeser, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg.

Joe was very actively involved in the St. Cloud community through coaching, reffing, volunteering his time with the St. Cloud Fire Department, and the St. Cloud Catholic Church. His passions were hunting, fishing, coaching high school girls basketball, spending time with his best friend, Dan, but mostly important was the time he would spend with his family, especially at their cabin.

Joe is survived by his wife, Traci; his three children, Adam (Ashley) Puetz, Stephanie (Robby) Springborn, and Ryan (Courtney) Puetz; his six grandsons, Briar & Walker, Mason & Jack, Wyatt & Everett; his mother, Judith Puetz; his brothers and sisters, Jeff (Andrea) Puetz, Tim (Lori) Puetz, Anne Franzke, Dori (Scott) Lefeber, Josh Puetz, and Nathaniel (Jessica) Puetz; his sisters-in-law, Terri Goeser and Tammi (Dan) Lefeber. He is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

Preceding him in death was his father, Jeanold Puetz; his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Ken & Janice Goeser; and his sister-in-law, Laurie Puetz.

A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at St. Isidore Parish-St. Cloud Church, 924 Main Street, St. Cloud, WI 53079. Rev. Gary Wegner, OFM Cap will officiate. A Celebration of his Life will follow at Fat Boy's in St. Cloud.

Please note, there is no visitation prior to the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in his name.

Joe's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Aurora Home Hospice, especially Jason & Jane, the staff at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital & Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

I am so sorry for your loss. Joe was a great man. I got a chance to talk to him after he got done reffing a basketball game in St Cloud a couple seasons ago. He asked how my family was doing and I could tell he really wanted to know. He was just such a genuine good person. He really cared about others.
He'll be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
