Robert W. Schuman, 87, of Fond du Lac passed away Sunday Sept. 17, 2017 at Lakeview Assisted Living. He was born in Montello on February 2, 1930 the son of Wilbert and Honora (Wegenke) Schuman. Bob married Evelyn Wyckoff on October 25, 1952 in Denver, CO. He grew up on the family farm near Montello and worked there until enlisting in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, serving until 1955. He was honored to go on an Honor Flight to Washington, DC several years ago. Bob was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and during his younger years played softball and volleyball for church teams. Bob worked as an electrician for Alliant Energy starting in 1958 and retiring in 1991. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, traveling and family times. Bob was a loving and caring man and will be missed by all.

Survivors include his three daughters Carol (Chris) Hammang of Loveland, CO, Deb (Bill) Kettenhofen of Rome, WI, and Cathy Larson of Marshfield, WI, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Evie on September 11, 2016.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 21st at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 855 Martin Ave. Fond du Lac. Rev. Brett Naumann and Rev. Adam Zimpelmann will officiate with entombment at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 21st from 10:00 AM until time of services at the church. Memorials are appreciated to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, WELS Kingdom Workers or . The family extends a special thank you to the nurses and staffs of Lakeview Assisted Living and Agnesian Hospice Hope for their loving care of Bob.
