Judith Pedersen Obituary

Judith D. "Judy" Pedersen

Fond du Lac - Judith D. "Judy" Pedersen, 81, died Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac, Wis. She was born in Marengo, Ill. on August 2, 1939 to Donald and Marie (Walker) Nichols. On October 5, 1957 Judy married her high school sweetheart, Alden "Pete" Pedersen in Friendship, Wis. They shared 64 years together and had five children.

Judy was a very special wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma and friend. She was multi-talented and could sew, bake, craft, can, garden and paint. Judy was always making something special for everyone she knew and memories of her talent and love can be found in many homes across the nation. She was an exceptional artist and painted hundreds of pictures in her lifetime, many of them gifted to others. Her specialty was oil painting and she taught techniques in many schools over her lifetime and most recently gave lessons in her home. Judy was deeply loved and will be missed by many.

Survivors include her husband, Pete; four children, Julie (Dave) Gilman, Vickie Pedersen, Lisa (Tim) Pulte, and Chris (Cyrina) Pedersen; a daughter-in-law, Linda Pedersen; thirteen grandchildren, Jaque (Murphy) LaVictoire, Joe (Jamie) Gilman, Ben Roth, Jenny Roth (Jeff Mancl), Susie (Adam) Krier, Samantha Pulte, AlexSandra (Andrew) Sisler, Aria (Kyle) Palmer, Ian Larson, Joe Bowen, Elizabeth Puffer, Erika and Jonny Pedersen; and eleven great-grandchildren, Izabella, Morrison, Zeke, Levi, Tirzah, Noah, Zandra, Leroy, Kassie, Mason and Kavlin. Judy is also survived by two brothers, Russell (Nancy) Nichols and Wallie (Janet) Nichols; three sisters-in-law, Gladys McKinley, Myrtle Lecy, and Florence Koehler; and many nieces and nephews too numerous to mention individually.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Marie; a son, Richard Pedersen; five sisters-in-law, Caroline (Kenny) Hendricksen, Viola (Clarence) York, Esther (Fred) Stevens, Virginia (Garland) Chaffee, and Verna (Frank) Williams; five brothers-in-law, Norman (Eleanor) Pedersen, Roy (Beryl) Pedersen, Clinton McKinley, Helmer Lecy, and Ed Koehler; and nieces and nephews on the Pedersen and Nichols side of Judy's family.

A private memorial will be established in Judy's name with proceeds going to area schools for art supplies and lessons.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Hope Lutheran Church, 260 Vincent St. in Fond du Lac with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial in Rienzi Cemetery will follow the service. Due to Emergency Order #1 under Executive Order #105, masks are required while in attendance.

Judy's service can be viewed live on Uecker-Witt's facebook page beginning at 11:00 AM via facebook.com/ueckerwitt

Judy, One of the kindest caring persons I know. I really enjoyed our short conversation at you home this past Sept. We will miss you and your kind actions of being a Prayer Partner for a third year Confirmati8on student. You were born in Marengo, Illinois. Believe it or not, Marengo, Illinois is my home town until I went off to college.
