Dave was born on December 2, 1965 in Plymouth, NC. He graduated from Plymouth, High School in 1984 and joined the Army in the same year. He served in the 10th Special Forces Group as a Green Beret Paratrooper. His military career spanned nearly 20 years and obtained the rank of Master Sergeant.
