Kenneth Dauphinais Obituary

of Leominster, WWII Vet; 90

LEOMINSTER -- Kenneth P. Dauphinais, 90 years old, of Leominster, died Saturday, August 25, 2012, in the Life Care Center of Leominster.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Constance P. (Kendall) Dauphinais; two sons, Kenneth P. Dauphinais, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Westminster, and Stephen K. Dauphinais of Leominster; three grandchildren, U.S. Army Spec. James D. Dauphinais and his wife, Krystle of Fort Bragg, NC, Brian K. Dauphinais of Leominster, and Lisa N. Dauphinais of Leominster; and a great-granddaughter, Marisa Dauphinais of Fort Bragg.

He was predeceased by his sister, Lorraine C. DiNatale in 2001.

Ken was born April 1, 1922 in Fitchburg, son of Theodore and Rose (Archambault) Dauphinais and had lived in Leominster for many years. He was a graduate of St. Bernard's Central Catholic High School in Fitchburg, and was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran. During the war, he served in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters.

Ken worked at Simonds in Fitchburg for over 40 years, retiring in 1984.

He was a member of the St. Leo's Church and the Simonds Recreation Club. Ken enjoyed sailing and fishing at his summer home on Stodge Meadow Pond in Ashburnham.

DAUPHINAIS -- A funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster with a mass at 11 am in St. Leo's Church, 128 Main Street, Leominster. Burial with military honors will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 6-8 pm in the funeral home. www.richardsonfuneralhome.net

I am so sorry Cousin Kenny has left us. Walking down the camp road and seeing his face in the window was a constant. 5 Generations at Stodge Meadow our familes are in that soil and in the water. Sail on into your joyful sunset Kenny, sail on!
