When I heard this news the first image that came to mind was that beautiful beaming smile that was always on her face. I'll keep that with me. Rest in peace Dottie. (Classmate from nursing school.)

Dottie was my son Shawn Conner's nurse after he had his heart transplant back on June 8, 1989. She was absolutely awesome and such a blessing to have as my son's nurse. She was an angel to us then and is now an angel too. My son passed on June 30, 1992. Now they are together again. My condolences to her family and friends. God must have needed her now.

Dottie,
I was blessed to have you call me "my friend". Your heart was so big, so full of love that you had room for all your friends. Your compassion & empathy & love of fun drew so many people to you.
There are tears being shed all over the country for you. My only consolation was that I got to speak with you the Saturday before God took you. My memories of living with you for those three months will always remain one of my favorite memories of my life. I am sure that right now you are surrounded by all the little children who you cared for and like you were taken to soon.
I will miss you so very much.

I am so shocked and saddened by Dottie's passing. We were scheduled to have dinner when my mom became terminally ill. I will always regret that we didn't reschedule that dinner. She was a great friend and a great classmate at Children's Hospital, My heart goes out to her family..

Dottie,
You were (are) an amazing person with such a beautiful soul. I was truly blessed the day our paths crossed. Definitely Gods doing. How else could I have met you in a pool and discover that we we're going through the same thing. I loved laughing with you, and it was nice to meet someone else that realized it didn't do us any good to complain. I admired you so much. We can all learn so much from you, Dottie...May we all give of ourselves as freely as you did! Sending lots of love & hugs to you in heaven.

Dear Dottie, You became my third sister. You were always there for me, while never asking for anything. You were the perfect role model for compassion and loyalty. I so wish that you never got sick. The world lost one of its best angels. Most of all you were my brother', Bill's, sweet angel. Love, Anne Marie
