I will never forget the fun I had growing up next door to my grandparents, cousins and my Aunt Florine and Uncle Raoul. Late summer days spent haying and Uncle Raoul driving the tractor pulling the fully loaded hay wagon along the back roads. Whether working in the garden, picking up branches in the woods, working on the stone walls and helping to build the apartment, we pulled together as a family. These are cherised memories and the values and lessons learned have served us all well. My heart is saddened for the loss that David and Rosemary are feeling. Know that your father brought joy and a sense of humor to all who were fortunate enough to know him and share in his life.

Happy 80th Birthday, June 2004.

Good evening to you Rosemary and David,
I am very sorry for your loss -our family's loss - Uncle Raoul and I got to spend time together at various times in our lives . . . Remembering when we were all kids playing down "on the farm" - always my favorite memories are of all of us romping around "the farm" - all of us cousins - we had so much fun -the cows, the fields, the gardens, the rides in so many kinds of automobiles . . . the music and the maple syrup by the fire - I was just telling my children in an email how your Dad, many, many years ago, came to my rescue - I had riden my bicycle all the way from Leominster to Lunenburg (to the "farm") with my dog Sunshine, we were both exhausted when we got there - and - my bicycle was not working properly - your Dad and Pepe - fixed my bike and somehow got me home so I didn't have to pedal again!
Then, much later, about 10 years ago, I began walking with my Dad and going to Church first - I was always especially happy when your Dad would meet us at the Church (St. Cecelia's) and walk with us to breakfast or wherever we were going.
He always had plenty to say . . . I enjoyed his company so much . . . !
I remember and I smile while I feel sadness, too - I will always remember his smile and his laughter -
Please accept my sincerest condolences - (Big) David
