I took multiple classes from Professor Lees at Oakland prior to graduating in 2005. I just learned that he passed away and was saddened by the news. Professor Lees was always engaging and I took a lot of knowledge away from his classes.
I know it's late, but I offer my sympathy to the family.

There are no words to express our loss. Our family faces a great loss. The days and weeks to come will be difficult for us all. Be strong!!! He will never be forgotten. He and Tom are probably having a great discussion with Grandma negotiating.

To the Lees Family,
I am terribly sorry for your loss. I had Professor Lees for a couple of classes and he was one of the best professors I have ever had. I feel sorry for students who did not have the opportunity to take one of his classes, he was superb.

My sympathies on the loss of your brother and son. I didn't know John well, as I am friends with Laura more. But having gone through the loss of my dad, Sheridan Lee, last year in a very unexpected way I know how hard this is right now. Much love to your family,

To my dear cousin John, I remember babysitting you and Robbie during your GI Joe phase, you were fearless! And I remember your fantastic wit and humor. You always showed love for your family and incredible amount of humility. You are one of our brightest and you will be terribly missed. I love you and miss you and the family.

John was a good neighbor and the BEST person to talk with about politics. He stayed in the middle and made you think about both sides of an argument. A good guy, he will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace beautiful friend.
