Mr. Thomas was born in Lancaster, SC on October 16, 1935. He was the son of the late Winston and Mary Robbins Thomas. He retired from Ard Trucking and the Darlington County Public Works. He was a member of Temple Free Will Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman and loved his grandchildren.
Mr. Thomas was predeceased by his wife, Judy Thomas and his son, Kenneth Scott Thomas.
Surviving are his son, Rodney Thomas and his wife Brenda of New York; step daughters, Susie Hayes and her husband Marty of Darlington and Lisa Smith and her fiancĩ Mike Brown of Paragould, AR; two brothers, Randy Thomas and Therrell Thomas; his sisters, Alice Matthews and Ann Thomas; and 17 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 25, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Darlington Free Medical Clinic, 203 Grove Street, Darlington, SC 29532.
