Stanley Robin Hamlett, 57, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Wuesthoff Medical Center of Melbourne. Stanley was born on October 16, 1954, in Mobile, Alabama.
He graduated locally from Satellite High School and with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida. While employed, he worked for Martin Marietta, Lockheed Martin, and with the space shuttle program at Kennedy Space Center.
He enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles and was part of Space Coast HOG.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jean Hamlett; siblings, Joan and Eric Hamlett.
He is survived by his wife, Samlee Hamlett, of 22 years; his children, Lisa Burnette (Marcus), Robert Hamlett (Kathleen), and Anna Hamlett; beloved grandchild, Bethany Burnette; siblings, Linda Hurley (Lou) and John Hamlett, III (Maria).
A celebration of life service will be held at Satellite Beach United Methodist Church, at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, September 29.
Donations may be made to Campus Outreach, attn: Hamlett Missions Thailand.
