Jeff Stephenson Obituary

Jeff Stephenson, 50 died Friday, December 7, 2012, after a long battle with cancer. Born in Kansas City, he moved to Merritt Island in 1969 and spent many a day water skiing on the Indian River in his youth.

He continued to stay in Central Brevard, except when traveling for work. He spent extended time in Germany, Denmark, and a variety of military bases.

He was a skilled electronic technician and he installed technical systems for NASA, the Department of Defense and, later in life, Hard Rock cafes.

His passion was Cocoa football and white-water rafting, which provided the basis for an unmatched series of outings with his only daughter, Kali, who was a Cocoa High Cheerleader.

He was a caring and giving father and a good friend to many. He loved watching football with his buddies at Tabasco Joes.

He is survived by his daughter, Kali Stephenson; brother, Bruce; niece, Sarah Stephenson; nephew, Ken Stephenson; and his former wife, Patti Thibault.

A celebration of life will be held in March at Kelly Park when his daughter returns from her Army assignment in Afghanistan.
