Lois Ann Dundas Palmisano, 76, of Viera, FL, formerly of Belleville, IL, born May 29th, 1938, in Jersey City, NJ, passed away Friday, June 20th, 2014, in Melbourne, FL.

Lois was a medical transcriptionist for many years before retiring to Florida. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren, family, and neighbors. Most recently Lois enjoyed volunteering as a child advocate for the Florida Guardian Ad Litem Program as a court-appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children. She was a very generous, kind, and loving mother, grandmother, friend, and neighbor, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Palmisano, Sr.; beloved daughter Janet Theresa Johannes; sister Janet Theresa Glavin; and her parents, Alexander and Theresa Clark Dundas.

Surviving are her four loving sons, John (Linda) Palmisano of Satellite Beach, FL; Mark (Carla) Palmisano of Fairview Heights, IL; Michael Palmisano of Norman, OK; and James (Nancy) Palmisano of Ashburn, VA; sister Patricia (Anthony) Tetro of Dumont NJ; grandchildren Anthony (Sarah) Palmisano, Joshua (Monica) Berneking, Dominick Palmisano, Talia (Tim) Christopher, Danielle (Nathan) Gardner, Ashley Palmisano, Nicholas Palmisano, Lucas Palmisano, Brendan Palmisano, Jarod Palmisano, Henry Johannes, and Jordan Palmisano; great-grandchildren Nolan Christopher, Leo Gardner, Gavin Christopher, and Isabella Palmisano; and extended family.

Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers at Wuesthoff Progressive Care Center, and to special friends Joyce Sullivan, Maria Mancuso, Tom O'May, and Loretta Hart who were very near and dear to Lois and the family.

Memorial Service: A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 16th at Grace Brethren Church-Suntree, 1001 North Pinehurst Avenue, Melbourne, FL 32940 with Mark Palmisano officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be from 5:00 PM at the church.
