Mary Hannon Kihm Bellina Obituary

Mary Hannon Kihm Bellina passed away peacefully into the arms of her Jesus, surrounded by her family on March 18, 2013. A native of Mobile, AL, Mary had lived in Rockledge since 1964.

She enjoyed a long career at KSC until she retired in 1995, and began to pursue her real passion of working for her Lord full time. Until her recent illness, she was a special Eucharistic Minister and minister to the sick for St. Mary's, volunteered weekly for Catholic charities, was a Vitas Hospice volunteer, delivered meals on wheels for 17 years, served as a member of the Ladies Auxillary at the Moose and Knights of Columbus and was a Pink Lady at Wuestoff Hospital, where she served weekly for 42 years. In the past, she had also been a chaplain for the VFW and run the bingo at Martin Anderson Senior Center.

Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, John Kihm and Johnny Bellina; her parents, Ernest and Thelma Hannon; her brothers, Ernest and James Hannon; and her grandson, Joseph Schjott. She is survived by her children, Stephanie Kihm Schjott, John (Suzette) Kihm and Karen (Alan) Williams; her loving niece, Christine Hannon; four sisters, Thelma (Thomas) Bohlmann, Theresa (Michael) Wessing, Bernadette Hannon and Sarah (Wayne) Wiggs; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary celebrated her 80th birthday at St. Mary's Church on Saturday, March 9th, with many, many friends and family. Our special thanks to all who came and made that day so wonderful for her.

Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rockledge on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 1-2 for friends, followed by the funeral mass at 2.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mary's name to St. Mary's School for the playground fence.
