Rose Hiller Obituary
There will be no prior visitations. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday (July 15) at St. Michael's Church (St. Joseph the Worker), Lyons. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, immediately following Mass.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to: Lifetime Care ATTN: HOSPICE 800 W. Miller Street Newark, NY 14513
Rose was born November 6, 1921 in Lyons, N.Y., the daughter of the late Joseph and Filomena (D'Amato) Ticconi.
She lived in Niagara Falls for over 60 years. Rose worked at Moore Business Forms, was a manager of Food Service at Niagara University for over 20 years, and also worked in food service at The Fatima Shrine. While at the Shrine she met and cooked for Mother Theresa. After retiring she moved to the Newark High Rise where she loved visiting with her friends. She was an avid fan of golf and the New York Yankees.
She is survived by two brothers Arthur Ticconi of Waterloo, Ralph (Betsy) Ticconi of Seneca Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Tom Hiller; eleven siblings; in-laws; and many nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the staff at the Wayne County Nursing Home for the wonderful care they showed Rose for the past year that she resided at WCNH. We would also like to thank Hospice for their care during her last weeks. This loving care was especially appreciated during the Covid-19 Pandemic when Rose was not allowed visitors.

My Sister, Jean Sanders lived at the Newark High Rise for many years. In 2018 I moved her to live near me in Liverpool, NY. For several years before Jean Moved, I came down to visit and met many of Jean's friends at the High Rise. Rose was one of her friends. She was so pleasant, engaging and funny. She and my Sister were both Yankee fans and Rose would always give Jean a copy of their t.v. game schedule. Often, we would sit out at the gazebo with Rose and the others. My Sister received a text that Rose had passed. We both are very sorry to hear this news. Our sympathy to all of Rose's family and friends.
