Charlene Dale Black was born in San Pedro, CA on August 13th, 1936, and passed away on May 9th, 2019. Charlene was raised in Long Beach, CA. She graduated from Wilson High School, Long Beach in 1954 and joined the Bachelorettes in 1955. She worked at McDonnell Douglas for 18 years and was Miss McDonald Douglas around 1957. She was married to Rick Dalberg for 18 years until 1976, when she moved to Lakewood with her girls. In 1981, she met Ron Hall whom she was married to for 34 years until he passed away in 2016. Ron and Charlene moved from So. CA in 1989 to No. CA, where they eventually settled in Lincoln in 2009.
Charlene was dearly beloved by all. She was known for loving those around her, especially her family, whom she would do anything for. Charlene was very witty and would always quote a nursery rhyme from when she was a little girl. Some things Charlene was known for was her love of painting with watercolors. She also enjoyed making cards for special occasions and making them personal for each person through her watercolors. She loved antiques and recently had a small booth in an antique store to sell some of her treasures that she had accumulated over the years.
Charlene is survived by her two daughters, Marcy Dalberg of Roseville, CA and Kelley Dalberg of Lincoln, CA; her two granddaughters Shanna Kent of Rocklin, CA and Paige Navarro of Lincoln, CA; her 6 great grandchildren, Cody, Madison, Carson, Reagan, Isaiah and Micah; her sister Virginia (Gini) Conner of Long Beach; her niece Kathy Spalding of Riverside, CA and her nephew Greg Moon of Long Beach, CA.
