Jacob Timothy Smith
With deepest sorrow, we announce that Jacob Timothy Smith, age 23, beloved husband, son, grandson, nephew, brother, and friend passed unexpectedly in his sleep with the love of his life by his side on the morning of November 30, 2020.
Those who knew Jacob, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.
Jacob will be forever missed every day by his beautiful wife, Amanda Smith (Stehlik); his mom, Tarrah Smith; grandparents, Timothy and Deann Smith; uncle, Carl Smith; great aunt, Sherry Langley; in-laws, Greg and Julie Stehlik; brothers & sisters (In-laws), Brooke Stehlik and Kyle Kettlehut, Paige and Isaac Plumb; cousin, Jared Smith, and numerous other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.
Jacob had a true passion for life, pushing the limits with everything he did. His favorite place was at Sand Mountain riding the dunes. It never failed, Jacob was always able to talk his Papa, Timothy, into taking him there. Jacob was beyond thrilled when he met the love of his life, Amanda, because she shared his love for Sand Mountain and extreme sports.
From riding scooters at Epic back in the day, skim boarding, riding bikes at the lake, dirt biking, riding quads, disc golf, waterskiing, wakeboarding, helping others, Jacob truly lived. He always put his entire heart into everything. He touched so many lives in his short time here and made such an impression on all that knew him.
Jacob's last days were spent with his wife, Amanda, and Cash (Black Lab) whom he referred to as their son. They were married in the most beautiful ceremony on October 3, 2020 with close family and friends by their sides. This day will forever be etched in our hearts as the love they shared was truly amazing and one of a kind. Jacob was truly happy, and we are finding peace knowing that to be truth.
We will never understand why Jacob left this Earth so soon. Our lives will never be the same without him, but we know he will always be here watching over us and protecting us from afar. We know he is riding high in the sky and enjoying being reunited with all those he loves in heaven. We are forever grateful for his wife Amanda, a true hero, as she rendered immediate aid to Jacob months prior to his passing for seizures. Without her quick thinking and love, he may not have been able to have the happiest day of his life, marrying the love of his life, his best friend.
There will be a Celebration of Life Ceremony at a later date when we can all come together without COVID restrictions. This will be posted to Jacob's Facebook page in the future.
