Here is Kolbe's obituary Our beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend, Kolbe Russell Prust, 24, of Cool, died unexpectedly on January 22, 2021. Kolbe was born May 15, 1996, to Ken and Katie Prust of Cool. Kolbe was homeschooled most of his life and graduated from Horizon Charter School in 2015. He attended St Joseph's and St Teresa's while growing up and enjoyed his time with our family priest friend Fr. Glenn Dare and our Deacon Mark Ruiz. Growing up, Kolbe loved to play basketball and baseball, and he spent much of his time working on the ranch with his beloved brothers and dad. Kolbe had a life-long dream of joining the military. Most recently, Kolbe loved lifting weights and working out where he was joined by his sister Sophia and youngest brother Levi. He also played pickup basketball, rode his motorcycle, and had started bull riding. Most of all, Kolbe enjoyed hanging out with his family. He liked his time working with his buddies from Echo Valley Feed Supply in Auburn. Kolbe had a special bond with his nieces and nephew and loved them dearly. He was known for dropping by unannounced on family and friends, just to visit. What a gift it was for those lucky enough to be on Kolbe's rounds. Kolbe gave it his all, he was earnest, hopeful and loving. He had a great smile that would light up your day! Kolbe is treasured and missed immensely. He is survived by his mother and father, Ken and Katie Prust, and his brothers and sister: Brian Slade(Victoria) Kenny J( Kiana), Kyler(Alyssa), Sophia, and Levi Prust, his nieces and nephew: Scarlett, Ariana, Juliette, and Lucca. He is also survived by his great grandma Bettie Triol, grandparents: Chick and Ginny Huckins, Ken Prust Sr, Karen and Doug Mangino, many aunts, uncles, and 49 cousins especially Johnny and Bobby Huckins. They were the 3 amigos! Kolbe was preceded in death by his Aunt Kim Darby, Aunt Kelly Kawashima and his Uncle Joe Huckins. When you think of Kolbe, please celebrate the good memories you have of him. Remember that life on earth is fragile. His family asks that you check in on your loved ones and reach out for support if you need it. National Suicide Hotline 1-800-273-8255

Kolbe and my son Jacob were born about a year apart. We would visit the Prusts' for a Moms' gathering and our babies would play while we planned our field trips and ski trips. We have precious memories homeschooling our children together through the years. Kolbe had that smile from his heart and was always a sweet person. My heart goes out to you and your family. I'm praying for your comfort in your sorrow. I love you all. Hugs.

KOLBE, You are baptized into a Faith and family, you are loved. In the midst of trial, Jesus comforts each of us with His love, promising hope and strength to endure the unendurable. Jesus saves. In our prayer, we cling to His mercy.
