Anna Marie (Bass) Kuck was born Nov. 16, 1934, to William and Mildred (Krehmeyer) Bass in rural Morgan County, Colorado. She died Nov. 20, 2018, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, in the Snyder Bible Church. Ann attended elementary grades in two different one-room schools in the the Antelope Springs area north of Snyder. She graduated from Snyder High School, Class of 1952. After graduating and prior to starting their family she was employed as a motel maid, bank teller, and telephone operator. She married Donald Kuck on May 3, 1953. After the birth of Barry in 1954, she chose to be a stay at home mom and devoted her life, not only to caring for her own four sons and two daughters, but also to children in foster care. The Kucks moved to Colorado Springs in 1956. During the following 62 years, they would also live in Manitou Springs, Widefield and Woodland Park. During those years, they attended Nob Hill Assembly of God, First Assembly of God, Security Assembly of God, Agape Fellowship, New Life and Church on the Ranch. Ann is survived by Don, her husband of 65 years; three sons, Barry, James and Austin; a daughter, Dana Smith, and two foster children, Bob Bennett and Denise (Bennett) Willey; a sister, Bertha Arnold; and three brothers, Wesley Bass, Charles Bass, and Ernest Bass. She also leaves eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William Bass Jr.; a son, Curtis; and a daughter, Christine Sprinkle.
