CARL BROWN "CB", 88, departed this life Thursday, May 10, 2018, at his residence in Fort Wayne, Ind. Born July 6, 1929 in Cornelia, Ga., he was a son of the late Alphonso and Nettie Mae (Williams) Brown. He was a member of Uniquely Blessed Ministry and the American Legion Post 148. Carl served during the Korean War and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was employed at Peter Eckrich & Sons as a packing material clerk and later with Fort Wayne Community Schools as a bus driver. Surviving are his wife, Oma Nunn Brown; son, Herbert Michael Brown; daughter, Carol Ginwright; granddaughter, Kari Redwing Porter; four great-grandchildren, Bruce Alan Sykes, Damiun Demon Jackson, Karington Carl Porter and Scotlyn Jade Porter; three brothers, Malcom (Gloria) Brown, Tim (Sally) Brown and Guy Brown; a sister, Mary Emma (John) Drummond; a host of other relatives, stepchildren and friends. Carl was also preceded in death by his son, Carl Alphonso Brown; brother, Billy Dock, and sister, Jennie Jane Brown. Service is 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018, at The Well, 1315 S.
