CYNTHIA ANNE KAYLOR RICKER, 66, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, surrounded by her family. Cindi was born on June 27, 1951, in Coronado, Calif., a daughter of Billy D. Kaylor and Gwendolyn L. (Penrose) Kaylor. She graduated from Carroll High School in 1969, earned her BSW from St. Francis in 1973, and her MS in Education from IU in 1997. After meeting the love of her life at St. Francis, she married Earl L. Ricker on May 1, 1976, at Huntertown United Methodist Church. Together they raised four children in Fort Wayne. She was a devoted teacher of 26 years, with most of those spent at Glenwood Park Elementary. She enjoyed spending her summers outside in the sun, gardening, reading, and lounging by her pool. She was dedicated to her family and friends and she especially loved making memories with her grandchildren, cheering at her kids' softball games, and traveling with her husband, sister, and brother-in-law. "Cindi's charismatic spirit and lively sense of humor will be forever missed". Surviving are her husband, Earl L. Ricker; mother, Gwendolyn L. Kaylor; daughters, Sarah E. (Jared) Smith and Anne K. Ricker; sons, Benjamin E. Ricker and Joshua A. Ricker; brother, Craig D. Kaylor; and sister, Penny L. (Tim) Reese, all of Fort Wayne; as well as her grandchildren, Hannah, Zada, Madalynn, Xavier, Izabella, London, Charli, Cortez, and Franki. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy D. Kaylor. An open house celebration of Cindi's life is from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at Don Hall's Guesthouse, Ballroom C, 1313 W. Washington Center Road.
