DARWIN "RICHARD, DICK" ANWEILER, 91, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 6, 2018. He was born May 2, 1927, in Fort Wayne, a son of the late Morris and Helen Anweiler, the fourth of five siblings who preceded him home. "He was a devoted father to his children, and husband to his late wife, Ruth Anweiler". He loved to draw and was an amazing artist winning a national poster contest with his poster being hung in the Washington Museum. He loved to fish and share his "big" fish stories. He loved working with wood making furniture for his family and friends. He was blessed to work doing what he loved as a cabinet designer for 21 years at Phillips (Magnavox). He loved playing with his grandchildren and passing on his values of hard work, devotion, and perseverance. He loved his friends and fellowship at Faith Promise Church (Blount Campus). Surviving are his children, Conra Faor, Nancy (Pat) Miller, Edward (Sharon) Anweiler, Kathy Ramey, Darlene Tang, Dale Anweiler and Diane (Mark) Cate; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Besides his wife, Ruth, and his siblings, he was also preceded in death by his great-grandson, Cameron Faor; sons-in-law, Jerry Ramey and Dennis Tang; and daughter-in-law, Robin Anweiler. Memorial service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, at Unity Spiritual Center, 3232 Crescent Ave., Fort Wayne, (IN 46805).
