FLORINE ELEANOR (WILKINS) SIEVERS, 97, of Fort Wayne, was called home by her Savior on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018. She was the daughter of Elizabeth (Rousseau) and Wm. Earl Wilkins. Florine graduated from Central High School in 1940. During World War II, she worked at G.E. in several departments. After raising her daughter, Marcia, and being the "Best Mom" anyone could want, she worked for several years at Woolworths. Active with her church, Florine was a charter member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She loved to sew, garden and most of all spoil her grandchildren and eventually her great-grandchildren. Florine married the love of her life Edward "Ted" Sievers in April of 1941 and spent nearly 46 wonderful years together until his death in 1987. Her daughter would like to thank Kingston Residence of Fort Wayne for all the love and support they gave Florine and her family. Florine is survived by her daughter, Marcia (Thom) Burns; grandsons, Thomas "Jef" (Mary), Timothi (Heather), Joshua (Allie), and Jonathan (Stephanie) Burns; and great-grandchildren, Amanda (Jake) McCastle, Brittney, Zacheri, Payton, Christopher, Elise and Claybourne Burns. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 2435 Engle Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Chad Trouten officiating. Visitation also from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Interment at Lindenwood Cemetery following service.
