GERALD F. "JERRY" SIEBENALER, 84, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 13, 2018, at 1:13 p.m. at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio, surrounded by his family, after an extended illness. He was a 1951 graduate of Edon High School and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. A lifelong farmer, he had been employed by The Aro Corporation in Bryan, retiring in 2008, with 52 years of service and also worked for Sears, delivering appliances for 14 years. He married Lula Belle "Lee" Best on Sept. 3, 1952, in Blakeslee; she survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are five daughters; three sons; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by one daughter, one son, three grandchildren, four brothers, and one sister, Eileen Smith. Service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Blakeslee. Fr. Daniel Borgelt officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with graveside military rites conducted by Bryan VFW Post 2489 and the United States Army Honor Guard. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Memorials are requested to Bryan Amvets Post 54 or to the Williams County Veterans Building.
