GREGORY A. "GREG" ROY, 67, of Monroeville, died on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, 10:20 p.m., at his residence. Born June 20, 1951, in Allen County, Ind., he was a son of the late Robert A. Roy and Kathryn L. (Amstutz) Roy. He married Cara M. (Mooney) Taylor on Jan. 6, 2001 in Shawnee, Kan. He was a lifelong member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon and was the president of St. Vincent DePaul Society. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus in New Haven. He was a 1969 graduate of Bishop Luers High School and 1972 graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Ag - Econ. He worked at Central Soya in Decatur, Central States in Fort Wayne, Bunge in Chicago and Danville, Bartlett Grain in Kansas City, EMP Co-Op in Edgerton, Central States in Montpelier, Central States in Florida, and was currently at Cardinal Ethanol in Union City, Ind. Surviving are his wife, Cara M. Roy of Monroeville, Ind.; ex-wife, Laura McCullouch of Fort Wayne; daughter, Sister Sarah E. Roy OSF of Springfield, Ill.; sons, Charles A. Roy of West Peoria, Ill., and Nicholas S. (Rachel) Roy of Monroeville, Ind.; stepdaugh-ters, Kirsten (Andy) Place of Urbana, Ill., and Emma Taylor of Savoy, Ill.; stepson, Johnathan Taylor of Springfield, Ill.; and six grandchildren, Gabriel Roy, Jacob Roy, Maryn Roy, Scott Roy, Moses Place, and Grace Roy, with one granddaughter on the way. He was preceded in death by his brother, Scott R. Roy, in 2002. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at St. Louis Catholic Church - Besancon, with Father Ben Muhlenkamp officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville, with the reciting of the Holy Rosary at 1:30 p.m. Burial in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Besancon.
