HARRY D. MEADS, 95, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at his home in Fort Wayne, Ind. Born in Mon roeville, Ind., he was a son of the late Ira and Alma Meads. He graduated from Central High School in 1941. Harry was a pilot U.S. Army Air Corps veteran during World War II and retired as Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S Air Force Reserves in 1972. Harry worked at General Electric for 44 years, until his retirement in 1984 and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Surviving are his daughters, Janet C (Randy) Green, Deborah K (Jeff) Siples, Ann M. (Eric) Snouffer, all of Fort Wayne, Ind; son, Kenneth A Meads of U.S. Virgin Islands;10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Donald Meads of Fort Wayne, Ind. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Carol Joan Meads; and one sister and three brothers. Service is 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd., with calling starting at 11:11 a.m. until service time. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Ind. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northeast Indiana Honor Flight or Heartland Hospice.
