JOHN BERNARD KEMERLY, 80, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018. Born June 3, 1938, in Anderson, Ind., he was the son of the late Geneva M. Lehr and Richard D. Kemerly. He graduated from Noblesville High School in 1956 and General Motors Institute in 1960 where he was a member of Alpha Gamma Upsilon fraternity. He was a Manufacturer's Representative and the president of Engineered Marketing, Inc. John is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jeri P. Kemerly; sons, J. Todd (Kathleen) Kemerly and Douglas B. (Heather) Kemerly; daughter, Kristi K. (Brad) George; sisters, Linda Nevitt, Sandy (Bill) Gilliam; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his brother, James D. Kemerly. A Celebration of Life is from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at Blackhawk Ministries, 7400 E. State Blvd., Fort Wayne (IN 46815), with visitation for friends and family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pastor Kevin Rivers officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations in John's name to Blackhawk Ministries.
