Col Russell and family,

I was a participant of Col Russell’s Modern Pentathlon Olympic Development Clinic at Fort Sam Houston on the summers of 1969 to 1971. It was a pleasure to know him for a short time. I won the riding event in the junior clinic in 1970, and the silver medal in that year. I came back to ride at his ranch in 1971 And placed 6th in the ride in1971. God bless you Sir, Rest In Peace. God bless You for your service in the Cavalry during WWII and then competing in the Olympics.
Then training athletes and stayed in the Equestrian World. Their is nothing that matches a horse in one's life.
May you be well blessed with Heavenly repose. You will be part of the thunder...When I was scared of thunder, my Mom told me; "That's God's horses running".
I'm a horseless horsewoman.
I love to send tributes to our Greatest Generation of Veterans.
