LILLIAN WANITA WERLING, 87, of rural Ossian, died on the morning of Sunday, March 4, 2018, at her residence. Born Nov. 13, 1930, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Ersil James Norris and Tillie Belle (Anderson) Norris. She was a 1949 graduate of South Side High School in Fort Wayne. She married Orvil Werling on April 21, 1956, in Fort Wayne; he preceded her in death on April 26, 1992. She was a homemaker all of her life and a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in rural Ossian. Survivors include two sons, Colin (Beth) Werling of Fort Wayne and Glen (Julie) Werling of Ossian; four grandchildren, David and Carl Werling, both of Fort Wayne, Jacob and Nathanael Werling, both of Ossian; and six nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Kevin M. Werling. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 7545 North 650 East, Ossian, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, at Elzey - Patterson - Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian. Burial in the church cemetery.
