LUCILLE LOIS FEICHTER, 98, passed away on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018. Born in Napoleon, Ohio, she was a daughter of Berl and Marian (Spafford) Bauman. Lucille moved to Fort Wayne to study at International Business College. She later worked at the U.S. Draft Board and Feichter, Realtors®. Lucille was known for her kind and loving disposition and often hosted gatherings of family and friends. She was insightful, a good listener, and a fine pie baker. Lucille was active in the United Methodist Women at Crescent Avenue Church, the Maysville Merrymakers for 67 years, and the Indiana Society Colonial Dames of the XVII Century (past state president). More importantly was her love for her husband of 76 years, Jacob Feichter VIII. They and their children traveled extensively to known and little-known sites, and for her 90th birthday, she and Jake flew around Mount McKinley. Lucille found places of interest and continued to learn no matter where she went. In addition to her beloved husband, Lucille will be missed by her two daughters Kay Feichter - Thistlethwaite (John) of Fort Wayne and Lucille "Susie" (Bill) Harvey of Wausau, Wis.; three grandchildren Bill Harvey of Hailey, Idaho, David (Justina) Harvey of Mt. Horeb, Wis., Katrina Vanden (Dan) Heuvel of Hailey, Idaho; and great-grandchildren, Noah, Luke, Margaret, and Mary Harvey, Seneca and Tripp Vanden Heuvel; as well as dear nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Jacob "Jay" H. Feichter IX, in 1992. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Crescent Avenue United Methodist Church, 1232 Crescent Ave., with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Private burial will be at a later date in Lindenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the UMW Crescent Avenue United Methodist Church or ACRES Nature Preserve Land Trust, 1802 Chapman Road, Huntertown, IN 46748. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Heritage Pointe staff for exceptionally good care. Please sign the online guestbook, at www.mccombandsons.com <http://www.mccombandsons.com>
