MAURICE G. STUCKY, 89, peacefully passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018. Born Dec. 30, 1928, in Fort Wayne, "Mo" was a son of the late Simon and Gladys Stucky and was a graduate of Wood burn High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 82 in Fort Wayne. On Oct. 21, 1950, he married the love of his life, LaVonne Ryan in Fort Wayne and together they raised three 'perfect' daughters. Mo retired from Dana Corp. with 35 years of service and also owned and operated Allen County Honey Dipper. After retirement, he and LaVonne wintered in Winter Haven, Fla., and enjoyed their summers on Jimmerson Lake with their family. Mo was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched. He is survived by his daughters, Beth (late Rob) Shaw of Fort Wayne, Debbie (Eric) Mansfield and Vicki (Mel) Budreau, both of Fremont, Ind.; eight grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; four great-great- grandchildren; sister, Claralou Stucky; sister-in-law, Dee Van Horn; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his wife, LaVonne Stucky; sister, Fern Currie; and brother, John G. Stucky. Funeral service is 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, with calling from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Pastor David Mitchell officiating. Burial to follow at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Stueben County Animal Shelter, 780 Shelter Lane, Angola, IN 46703.
