MSGT. THEODORE "TED" HUFF JR., 91, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018. Ted was a wonderful father and loyal husband who devoted his life to both his family and the military. Born Aug. 2, 1926, Ted was the son of Teddy and Wrella Huff of Hamilton, Ohio. He attended Fairfield High School until joining the U.S. Navy in 1944 during World War II, and continued serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and Vietnam War. After a 25 year career with the military, Ted received an honorable discharge and retirement from the U.S. Military in 1968. After his retirement from the military, Ted served the U.S. Post Office for 12 years where he met his wife Helen. He continued to be a loyal member of the Masonic Lodge and Air Force Association. Ted's greatest joys in life were enjoying homecooked meals with his wife, and watching his sons grow and become successful men. He enjoyed watching all kinds of sports on tv, especially the Cincinnati Reds and Purdue athletics. He also loved being at home with his family. Ted is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Helen (Castleman) Huff; sons, Anthony Jay (Tony) of Fort Wayne and Theodore John (Teddy) of Chicago; and sister, Barbara Holmes of Greenville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Cheatham (formerly of Hamilton, Ohio); and parents, Teddy and Wrella (Sunderman) Huff. Service is 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018, at D.O.
