NORMAND G. HIGGINS, 88, of Auburn, formerly of Garrett, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018. Born Nov. 11, 1929, in Auburn, he was a 1947 graduate of Garrett High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Surviving are his wife, Suzi Higgins of Auburn; son, James (Janet) Higgins of Waterloo; daughters, Jeanette Cleland of Hamilton, Marcia (Jerry) Kessler of Auburn and Sharon (Randy) DeLong of Garrett; stepsons, David Relue and Anthony Relue, both of Fort Wayne; stepdaughters, Kristine (Greg) Ramey of Fort Wayne, Kimberly Relue and Joe Hurley of Moneta, Va., and Jill (C. J.) Lay of Garrett ;11 grandchildren, 13 stepgrandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and five step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Marjorie Higgins; daughter; Anita Williams; and grandchildren, Daniel Cleland and Paul Williams. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 300 W. Houston St., Garrett. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at Feller & Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center St., Auburn, with a Rosary at 3:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be directed to Garrett American Legion Post 178, 515 West Fifth Ave., Garrett, IN 46738; or St. Joseph Catholic School, 301 W.
