NORVAL A. JOHANNESSOHN, 90, of Indianapolis, Ind., died Sunday, May 13, 2018. He was born March 29, 1928, in Borup, Minn., a son of the late Carl J. and Augusta P. Johannessohn. Norval was a graduate of Borup High School, Minn., and received his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from North Dakota State University. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a radio operator/repairman during the Korean War. He married LaDonna Symonds in 1955, and was employed as an Electrical Engineer for Naval Avionics (now known as Raytheon) for 30 years, retiring in 1986. He was a longtime member of Buck Creek Christian Church. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, was a master gardener and an all around "Mr. Fix It". Surviving are his loving wife, LaDonna Johannessohn; daughter, Melanie Johannessohn; son-in-law, Scott Moor; granddaughters, Jenna and Kate Moor; and sister-in-law, Arlyne Symonds. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kim Moor; one sister; and three brothers. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Buck Creek Christian Church, 3525 Senour Road, with visitation one hour prior beginning at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the . Final care and arrangements are entrusted to Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel.
