PATRICK D. PLANK, 81, passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017 at Parkview Hospice Randallia in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Ind., he was a son of the late Amos D. and Josephine D. Plank. Patrick graduated from North Side High School in 1955 and attended Purdue University. He served in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sgt. Patrick worked as a Machine Operator with Dana Corporation for 20 years, retiring in 2002, and also was a former manager of Kentucky Fried Chicken and Wendy's Restaurants in Fort Wayne. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church Wolcottville, Ind. and American Legion Post 215. Patrick was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football, basketball, golf and having an occasional Miller Lite. He loved spending time at Westler Lake and with his children and grandchildren. Surviving are children, Belinda K. Plank of Petoskey, Mich., Bethany L. Plank of Fort Wayne, Ind., Michael D. (Sandy) Plank of Albion, Ind., Jeffrey P. (Mindy) Plank of Auburn, Ind.; stepchildren, Ronald E. (Faith) Galbraith of Nashville, Tenn., Phyllis L. (Tom) Jozaites of South Bend, Ind.; brothers, Frank (Tina) Toth of Columbia City, Ind., Rusty (Lupe) Toth of Garrett, Ind.; sister, Elizabeth (Dale) Richmond of Laotto, Ind.; seven grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Patrick was also preceded in death by his wife, E. Gene Plank, and a step-son, Mark L. Galbraith. Service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday Dec. 6, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E Dupont Road, Fort Wayne (IN 46825) with calling one hour prior. Pastor James Tews officiating. Calling also from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Ind.
