ROBERT B. KNOX, 86, of Fort Wayne, Ind., passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Born on Feb. 18, 1932 in Monroe ville, he was the son of the late Harold E. and Edith (Holman) Knox. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a member of the Order of the Blue Nose. Robert was honored to fly on the Honor Flight Northeast Indiana in September of 2017. He was a member of Forest Park Methodist Church and American Legion Post 330 of New Haven. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing, cars, and was an avid reader. Robert was a Boy Scout Leader and a member of the Order of the Arrow. Robert is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jo Ann S. Knox; children, Brian (Crystal) Knox and Brenda (Philip) Pion; grandchildren, Alisha, Jeremy, Stephaine, and Eron; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Robert D. Knox; sister, Barbara Rossworm; and brother, James Knox. Funeral Service is 1 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells Street, Fort Wayne (IN 46808) with visitation two hours prior. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parkview Hospice or the Honor Flight.
