ROBERT CHARLES "BOB" ROSS, 75, of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018. "My hero's journey is over on earth and a new one begins. I'm forever grateful I got to walk by his side along the way." Born Feb. 2, 1943, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Roy and Marguerite (Williams) Ross. Bob was a 1961 Fort Wayne South Side High School graduate where he participated in football and track. He was a Police Officer for 30 years with the Fort Wayne Police Department. Bob served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. He was involved in the PAL Club, F. O. P., and a member of Northridge Baptist Church. Bob is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (McNamara) Ross; daughters, Tracy (Marty) Harkinson, Ilene Ross and Chelsea Ross; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Louisa (Virgil) Brockhouse; and his best friend and dog, Smokey. Service is 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at Northridge Baptist Church, 1330 E. Cook Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation from 9 a.m. Additional visitation is from 2 to 4 and and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, at D.O. McComb & Sons-Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne.
