RONALD "RON" L. LEWELLYN, 87, passed Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Lutheran Life Villages. Born on March 21, 1931, he was a son of the late Arthur and Lois (With row) Lewellyn. He grew up in Garrett with twin brother, the late Richard "Dick". Ron worked on B&O Railroad and then retired from Zollner Corp. after 30 years as an inspector in 1991. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, was a member of the American Legion and the Moose. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Punta Gorda, Fla. and attended Peace United Church of Christ once he returned to Fort Wayne in 2015. He loved living on Lake Pleasant in Indiana for many years and in Punta Gorda. Ron loved bass fishing, collecting fishing reels and baits, puzzles and working in his shop. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Sharon; step-children, Randall (Mary) Miller, Amy (Kenneth) Barrett and Deborah (David) Barris; sister, Maryann (Jim) Crouch; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by stepson, Kent E. Miller. Memorial service is 1 p.m. Friday, July, 13, 2018, at Peace United Church of Christ, 9123 Aboite Center Road, with calling one hour prior.
