SARA CASEY KROH, 89, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019. Sara had been living in Fort Wayne at the Towne House Retirement Center for the last two years. Born in Huntington, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Dr. Stanley M. and Zada Casey. Sara lived and raised her family in Syracuse, Ind. She was married to her husband, Charles F. (Jim) Kroh, for 69 years. Sara was one of four sisters: Martha Boleman, Suzanne Cronin and the late Mary Culp. She attended Huntington High School and Indiana University where she received a Master's degree in Education. Sara taught at the Syracuse Elementary School for 20 years. She was a member of the Syracuse United Methodist Church and had been a past Kosciusko County Red Cross Blood Drive Chairman. Sara and Jim had four children, the late Dr. Charles Casey (Lucia) Kroh, Carol Kroh (Bob) Gale, Stanley E. (Dawn) Kroh, Laura Kroh (Ed) LaRocque; nine grandchildren, Charles Casey Kroh, Jr., Eric (Rachel) Kroh, Evan (Sherry) Kroh, Alex (Beth) Kroh, Christina (Alex) Gale, Robert C. Gale, Jessica (Eric) Gale, Lucas Kroh and Marguerite Kroh; three great-grandchildren, Harlee Meuy Kroh, Lucas Kroh and Dexter Kroh. Sara's family was her pride and joy. She loved to see everyone together, especially during the famous family reunions every 4th of July at the lake. A celebration of Sara's life will be held in the Spring.
