THOMAS EDWARD CHRISTLIEB, 84, of Hunter town, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018, from cancer. Born in Lapel, Ind., in 1933, he was a son of the late Harry L. Christlieb and Rosella Nichols. A graduate of North Side High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy in 1952 and served in the Korean War. Upon entering civilian life, he spent 20 years working for ITT, another 20 years for Xerox, and 11 years for U.S.S.I., retiring in 2006. In 1952, he married Roberta J. Lane and recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. He is survived by his wife Roberta; son, Thomas R. Christlieb of Fort Wayne; daughter, Susan C. (Dan) Tom of Fort Wayne; son, Gary E. (Melissa) Christlieb of Culver; 11 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by and two brothers, Larry and Danny Christlieb. Service is 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with the Reverend Tim Dale officiating. Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to the or American Cancer Association.
