THOMAS P. "SMITTY" SMITH, 60, of Hamilton, Ind., died Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Born March 18, 1958, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of Joseph Paul and Janice (Benya) Smith. He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked as a machinist at MTR Manufacturing in Ashley. He was a member of the Hamilton Fish & Game Club. Smitty married Kelly Hammond on June 12, 1982 in Fort Wayne; she survives in Hamilton. He is also survived by two daughters, Haleigh Smith of Hamilton and Hanah Smith of Fort Wayne; a granddaughter; a brother and two sisters, Teri (Glen) Hazelwood (his twin) of Fort Wayne, DeDe (Daryl) Cavanaugh of Fort Wayne and Randy Smith of Woodburn; and a sister-in-law, Kim Smith of Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Kathy Clemons. Service is 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Feller & Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne St., Waterloo, with calling from noon to 1 p.m. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2018, at the funeral home.
