WAYNE C. TERMAN, 74, of Columbia City, went home to his Lord on Monday, March 12, 2018, at his home. Born Dec. 27, 1943, in Wolf Lake, he was the son of Ray "Stanley" and Juanita "Skip" (Long) Terman. He enjoyed playing basketball and was the highest scoring player in the county at the time. Wayne also ran track at Larwill High School, graduating in 1962. On May 11, 1963, he married a fellow classmate, Lana Marrs. He started working for International Harvester in Fort Wayne and spent nine years working in Springfield, Ohio. Wayne retired from Navistar in 1993 after 30 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Lana Terman; son, Mike Terman of Columbia City; daughter, Jodi Terman of New Haven; brothers, Jack (Lois) Terman, of Columbia City and Jerry Terman of Fort Wayne; sisters-in-law, Nancy Walker and Willodean White, both of Columbia City; and his special cat friend, J.L. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Tom Terman. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018, at DeMoney - Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Pastor John Cummings of Community Bible Church officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Adams Cemetery.
