STEPHEN E. NEUHAUS

STEPHEN E. NEUHAUS, 68, passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, at Cedars Nursing Home, Leo. Born in Fort Wayne, Stephen worked as a letter carrier with U.S. Postal Service for 30 years, retiring in 2004. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, enjoyed nature, tending to his lawn, and was an avid fisherman with his son. Surviving are his wife, Janice H. Neuhaus of Fort Wayne; son, Benjamin Neuhaus of Fort Wayne; daughters, Shay (Will Purba) McAllister of Chicago, Ill. and Laurel (Russ) Alberson of Grass Lake, Mich.; grandchildren, Austin, Cooper and Mason Alberson; and sisters, Kathy Bailey, Shari (Jim) Didier, Martha (Bruce) Coder, Bonnie (Gary) Davis, Nancy (Duke) Mauzy, and Patti (Rob) Brown, all of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by parents, Wayne W. and Barbara A. Neuhaus; sister, Mary Neuhaus; godmother, Patricia Moorman; and brother-in-law, Mike Bailey. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Memorials may be made to Hospice Home.
