STEPHEN DONALD MULDOON

STEPHEN DONALD MULDOON, 70, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, at home in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Robert J. and Carolyn H. (Sigl) Muldoon. After graduating from Bishop Dwenger High School, Stephen earned his Bachelor's degree from Indiana University in 1973, and later earned an Associate's degree in Computer Programming Technology from Ivy Tech in 1983. He married Linda Welker, the love of his life, on Jan. 8, 1972 and she survives. Stephen retired from Lincoln Financial in 2021. He worked in the IT department for 13 years, having previously been a contractor for two years and then a full time employee of IBM prior to being in-sourced. Prior to that he was a co-owner of Bytrex Computers. He enjoyed cars, coin collecting, IU football, old TV shows like The Twilight Zone, and old Westerns. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Stephen is survived by his children, Stephen and Mark; grandchildren, Alex, Ella, Charlotte, and Vincent; and sibling, Robert (Peggy). He was also preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Kathleen Whitacre. Services will be private for the family. Visitation is from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne (IN 46835).
