ROCHESTER - Diane P. Felts, OFS, 62, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital from injuries sustained in an accident. Born October 22, 1958 in Rochester, N.H., she was the daughter of the late Philip and Anita (Gagne) Perreault.

Diane's faith in Jesus helped to prepare her for her arrival into the Blessed Kingdom to be with her beloved Mom and Dad. She loved her God and was a devout Roman Catholic. Dedicated to her secular Franciscan Family and her patron saint: St. Therese.

She worked as a receptionist at Frisbie Memorial Hospital, and Lincoln Medical Center, Lincolnton, N.C.

Her hobbies were outdoor adventures which included hiking, camping, canoeing and most of all campfires!

Members of her family include her husband Raymond Felts of Rochester, N.H.; her children Philip Felts and Vanessa Felts of Hickory, N.C.; her brother Richard Perreault and wife Cheryl Sessions of Old Orchard Beach, Maine; and her sister Angele Cook and husband John of Rochester, N.H.; nieces and nephews.

Our family would like to thank everyone around the world for all their thoughts and prayers during this past week.

I can hear her laughing, a happy and relaxed sound! I met Diane a few years ago when she had just moved ito the area. She was a new face at church and at my office. I remember how much she loved her children, and her husband too! She was a cheerful wife when Ray went off and hiked the Appalachian trail. She lived the simple humble life life of a Franciscan . I would call her salt of the earth. I pray for you Ray, Vanessa, Philip, Angel and all the rest of her friend and family. We are at a loss, but she is in her Father's house!

Ray, Philip, Vanessa, Angele, Rick

What stirs in us today is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why she left this earth so soon, or why she left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that she died and left such a void, but that she lived, and that her life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
Those we love do not go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed, and very dear.

May you find comfort in all the beautiful memories she gave us.

All our love,
Ed and Gloria Hayes

Ray, Phillip, Vanessa, Rick and Angele our deepest sympathies to you all. Diane was a wonderful person. Always fun to be around. She was not only my cousin she was my friend. I have a lot of memories of Diane growing up. I would always joke with her about her bro a month a 4 days older than me. My dad and Aunt Anita would always call us the double trouble cousins. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. Please hold onto all the good memories you have of her. She will always live on in our hearts.

To Ray & children, Diane’s siblings and all her family members-
What a privilege and a blessing it was to have worshipped with, worked with, laughed with and lived life with such a beautiful soul as Diane. Little do we come realize how fragile the gift of life truly is until it is quickly and unexpectedly taken from us. We were so blessed indeed to have shared a portion of your precious life with you, Diane. Larry and I will never forget you and we thank you for the friendship, the laughter and the love you shared with us over the years. Our heartfelt sorrows to Diane’s dear family; we keep you close in our hearts and prayers and we wish to continue to share our love and friendship with you all as we move forward in life together.

Dear family, Diane was a very spiritual, happy and lovable person. Diane would bring Holy Communion to my parents before the virus hit us. Receiving Jesus and visiting with Diane is something that they both miss. I enjoyed many spiritual talks with Diane. She was, and still is, a lovely woman. We will all see her again when God calls each of us home. Diane has left behind a beautiful legacy of what it means to walk with Christ. My heart goes out to you and you will be kept in my prayers always.
