David Christopher Berryman Merritt Obituary
David Christopher Berryman Merritt, 29, passed away from natural causes the evening of November 14, 2018 in Chapel Hill, NC. Born August 20, 1989 to Maria A. Merritt and the late David B. Merritt. David was a loving son and loyal brother to sister, Anne Marie Merritt.

After dedicating two and 1/2 years to the Peace Corp in Namibia, Africa, David was currently an MBA candidate at Kenan-Flager UNC aspiring to his lifelong goal of becoming a philanthropist.

His passion for life, compassionate generosity towards others, beloved "Dad" humor, and deep faith will be remembered by his family, to include his grandmother, Eleanor L. Merritt, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, his girlfriend, Hilary A. Yelton, and dear friends, most especially his "brothers," David McGinley, Stephen McGinley, Ben Allencherry, Andrew Joliet, Paul Donoghue, and Paul Winslow.

A viewing will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM with rosary starting at 7pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 224 West Washington Street, Hagerstown. Rev. Collin Poston will officiate. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown, where he will be laid to rest next to his Daddy.
