Girls, my heart goes out to you, your Uncle Larry, and your families. No one needs to tell you what a very special person your Mom was, everyone who knew her loved her. She was one of those exceptional people who connected with everyone.

I have so many fond memories of times spent with your Mom, especially the many trips we made each October, to our family reunion in Franklin. She chauffered us there in that big old brown van, regaling us with funny stories the whole way. She so generously brought her paintings each year and let us all select our favorites. I will never forget the year when she proudly displayed her painting of the pink flamingos, which had earned her first place in a juried show. One of our cousins asked for the painting since it would look great in her bathroom, and complement her pink shower curtain. Your Mom graciously gave up the painting, and we had a good chuckle all the way back to Maryland.

She certainly lived life to its fullest, and thanks to all of you and her wonderful friends, she had a life filled with joy.

My love and sympathy to you all.
