Good friend Arthur. It´s very difficult to realize that five years have passed since you left us. Even though you are no longer here, you are still alive in our memories. Many adventures and enjoyable times with families and friends. Fair winds and following seas Arthur. Howard and Carol Mendelsohn

Arthur has been one of my best friends since I came to America from Italy when I was fifteen years old. A lot of adventures over the years including summer jobs in Atlantic City. Goodbye friend and my sympathy to Fern, Heather and Kara. Gene Squillari

Arthur and I grew up in Frostburg and have been best friends since childhood living across the street from each other. As babies born just a few months apart, we even shared the same playpen when our mothers visited. We were best friends through high school and when Gino Squillari came to America from Italy to work in his Uncle Anton's chain of restaurants, we became the Three Musketeers. We have remained close friends throughout the years going on trips and vacations with our families. We were fortunate to have several opportunities to visit Arthur in recent months as his health declined. Another good friend Art Gehauf even brought crabs from the Elks Club for a last crab feast. During all this time his wife Fern was by his side and his daughter Heather from Florida was able to spend most of the past month with him as her employer allowed her to work from their Frederick home. Carol and I send our deepest and saddest sympathy to Fern, Heather and Kara. Arthur's was a life well lived.

He was one of my favorite teachers. He was my 6th grade teachers at Parkway Elementary School in 1960. I noticed that he always had holes in his socks (this was before he got married), so for Christmas I got him socks. I often wondered what he thought about that. I think he probably laughed. I hope so, he was a great teacher. The world was blessed to have him.
