My deepest sympathy to Sr. Victoria's family and the Felician Community. I was so blessed to have known her through the National Association of Catholic Nurses USA. She had sponsored a conference for us at Lavonia and had been on our board. We got to share time together at other conferences. I know heaven must be very happy, but we will miss her dearly.

Thru grade school, high school, advanced education, instruction and religious vocation, Sister Vicky in her own way has followed the teachings of Jesus. Our sympathies to her brother, her sisters, and her relatives, she was a special person and will be truly missed. To all who were fortunate to cross her path came away a better person for which she will be always remembered. Sister Vicky has entered the place God has set aside for her, full of all the joy and love her heart can hold. Have comfort knowing we too have a place with our spiritual family.

Sr. Victoria Marie, I have often thought of you as my twin in community, even though you were ten years older than me. When looking at photos of you, I recall some sisters saying to me that I look like you. Yet were only related as fellow Felicians. I admire your giving spirit. You helped out at the free clinic in downtown Detroit, helped out in Haiti, and oversaw the Marian Prayer Group at Madonna. Intercede for us to the Lord and to Blessed Mary Angela. Enjoy your crown of glory.

Now you are angel in the arms of the Beloved Creator. Blessed are you for your suffering is over. We thank our Father for bringing you among us. During this time that God allowed you in our life's journey, you modeled for all of us sainthood. You served the Holy Trinity so very well, glorifying and serving Him as well as those of us. I also remember Vicky Indyk, the daughter, the sister of John, Jane and Rose Mary, the dedicated nurse as well as our friend. I remember the fun, funny and playful Vicky. We were also blessed to be in her life. We love you! Te amamos y oramos por ti mas tu familia. You and your family are in our prayers.

We offer our condolences to the family. We have known Sister Vic a long, long, time. She lived the prayer of St. Francis every day of her ministry especially in Haiti:

"Lord, make me an instrument of your peace
Where there is hatred, let me sow love
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith
Where there is despair, hope
Where there is darkness, light
And where there is sadness, joy
O Divine Master, grant that I may
Not so much seek to be consoled as to console
To be understood, as to understand
To be loved, as to love
For it is in giving that we receive
And it's in pardoning that we are pardoned
And it's in dying that we are born to Eternal Life".

We will truly miss you. Sing joyfully among the choir of saints Sister Vic.

Let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God believe also in me. In Gods house are many rooms ;if it were not so, I would have told you. I will come again and receive you unto myself: that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:1-3

Sister Victoria has touched so many lives in her lifetime (patients, families, students and faculty). It is through her presence and selflessness that we all are driven to "be better", to "do better" and "to love". When she "blessed our hands" at the beginning of the semester, the faculty and students would line up to renew that blessing as it was powerful and yet a gentle reminder of our work as a nurse (in all situations). I am forever grateful for her being a part of my life. Judy McKenna
