Gaston "Gus" Gosselin

Durand formerly of Detroit - Gaston "Gus" Gosselin, age 90, passed away peacefully at Hospice House of Shiawassee County on Tuesday, October 2, 2018.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel in Owosso. His son, Rev. John Gosselin will officiate. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.

Gus was born in Disraeli, Quebec on January 16, 1928 to the late Honore and Marie Louise (LaMontagne) Gosselin. He married Bernadette Sauvageau in LaSarre, Quebec on March 5, 1951.

Gus was a lineman, recruited by Electrical Power Contractor from Canada. He belonged to the IBEW Local 17. Gus was a charter member of the Professional Archer Association, enjoyed hunting and taking his children to the park every weekend when they were little.

Gus is survived by his children; Gaston (Nancy) Gosselin of Perry, Rev. John (Joyce) Gosselin of Hubbardston, Paul (Erin) Gosselin of Saranac, Carole Doll of Wilson, North Carolina, Denise (David) Voshell of Cookeville, Tennessee, Sylvie (Karl) Swift of Lincoln Park, Robert (Elisa) Gosselin of Waterford and Louise (Henry) Uzarek of Lincoln Park. 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Gus was preceded in death by his wife in 2001, 12 brothers and sisters and his great granddaughter Jasmine Gosselin.
