Noel was a wonderful person, an exceptional physician, and a great teacher. I was fortunate enough to be on R2P2's service as a 3rd year student in spring '87. I learned from the group what it means to be dedicated to caring for your patient. I am truly sorry for the family's loss. May his memory be a blessing for all of you.

I am so very much saddened to learn of the passing of Noel. He was as intelligent and skilled as any physician I've known. He deeply cared about his patients. He did not suffer fools gladly. He was a dedicated teacher who mentored generations of physicians. He toiled to burnish their skills to a high sheen. I was lucky to have been one of his students and cherish my association with him. He had a great irreverent sense of humor who I found to be a joy to be around. He let it be know how very proud he was of Jennifer. Noel will truly be missed.
